Dr. Shauna Mead
Veterinarian
She attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in the Caribbean and found another love: the ocean. While in veterinary school she was a leading member of PAWS (People for Animal Welfare on St. Kitts), which included being a foster to multiple dogs. After spending her last year of veterinary school at Cornell University, her fiance and multiple four-legged children ventured to San Diego. A year was spent at California Veterinary Specialists doing a rotating internship focused on small animal medicine, surgery, and emergency. Since completion of the internship in 2010 she has worked as an associate general practitioner and as an emergency clinician, as well as welcomed her first daughter into the world.
All areas of veterinary medicine are of interest; currently, she is focusing on strengthening her ability to perform ultrasounds. On days off she plans to help Dr. Hatt with spay/neuter release programs, surf, hike, and establish a home in beautiful Hawaii.

Dr. Laura Harrington
Veterinarian
Hello, I’m Dr. Laura Harrington. I was born and raised in Dublin Ireland where I attended the University College Dublin for vet school. I spent the first few years of my career in Ireland working in various busy small animal and emergency hospitals. I really enjoy internal medicine and particularly love working with feline patients ! Outside of work, I love to travel. My wife and I have been to over 16 countries in the past 2 years including Peru and Egypt! We also love to cook and spend time relaxing with our beautiful one eyed cat, Bell. I look forward to exploring Oahu and bringing some Irish charm to Animal House Veterinary Center.

But who am I outside of work? I am married to my high school sweetheart and we have 3 loveable furbabies! I have my goofball Lab, Odell, who is the biggest snugglebug I’ve ever met. I have my old lady Australian Shepherd, Maggie May, who was my husband and I’s first baby. And I have an anti-social black cat, Tekka Maki, who just really prefers you leave her be. My husband and I are passionate about traveling and do it as often as we can! I’ve been all over the world, and have wrapped our love of travel into one of my biggest personal goals – To run a marathon in every state! So far, I am 12 states in and the journey has taken me to some pretty phenomenal places that I may not have considered otherwise. When I am not traveling or running (Which admittedly is rare), I am hiking, biking, beaching, or exploring local craft breweries and wineries.
Thanks for taking the time to get to know me a little bit. Pop on in and say hi! I love to get to know our clients! I look forward to meeting you and your fur babies!

I have been in the Veterinary field for over 15 years and 13 of those years have been spent here with my Animal House Ohana. I also spend half of my time helping to manage Dr. Hatts other practice, Pawsh Place, in California. I have always been very passionate about providing the best care for our patients and their families. I enjoy being part of leading our staff every day and hope I can continue to motivate and inspire them even through the toughest of days.

Kristy
Technician
Hi!! My name is Kristy, and I started my veterinary career in South Carolina as a kennel tech. After 3 months, I was offered an opportunity to learn beside a veterinarian on how to be the best vet tech I could be. My first experiences were with cats, dogs, porcine, rabbits, and many other exotic animals, including but not limited to hawks, eagles, and reptiles of all kinds. When I was about 5 years old, I would tell everyone my dream job was to be a veterinarian. After 8 years of veterinary technician experience, I knew that what I truly enjoyed was to be the person taking care of animals’ hands-on. I currently have a 2-year-old German shepherd and 3 lovely cats. I recently moved to Hawaii from Oregon state. I enjoy spending time with my little family, sun bathing, or doing resin art on my days off.

Galina

Aloha! My name is Galina. I was born and raised in Miami Florida and recently moved to Hawaii with my sweet rhodesian ridgeback mix named Ziva and my two cats! I started my career 4 years ago working with animals at my local shelter back home adopting out and caring for the local fur babies. My passion for animals grew and decided to continue on becoming a vet assistant. I am now in Hawaii with plans continuing my education in veterinary medicine . On my down time, when I’m not caring for my patients, I love to be out in nature whether it be on the water paddle boarding or hiking through trails.

Mackenzie

Kalynne

Hi, I’m Kalynne! I’m a registered veterinary technician with over seven years of experience in emergency and critical care. My passion lies in providing the best possible care for patients, ensuring they feel comfortable and supported during their time with us.
Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, I’ve called Oahu home for nearly four years, where I share my life with my six-month-old Australian Cattle Dog, Fia, and four wonderful cats.
In my free time, I love exploring all that island life has to offer—whether it’s relaxing at the beach, time at the pool, paddleboarding, or trying new restaurants and cuisines. I’ve also recently started learning piano, which has been an exciting new challenge!
I’m proud to be part of a team that’s dedicated to improving the lives of animals and the people who love them.

Aloha Kākou! My Name is Jade and I have a Black Lab, Her name is Mahina and she is my pride and joy I LOVE to show her off, I’m originally from Waianae Veterinary Clinic and while I sadly had to leave because I was moving down to Ewa i’m so excited to bond and care for the fur babies of Ewa. Growing up it was instilled in me to always love and respect all living things and that includes all of our pets, I truly believe they deserve the best possible care and while they are sadly unable to speak to us they need us to be able to advocate and fight for them.
I love spending time with my friends and family and creating new bonds, I am also always trying to learn new things next on my list are the drums ;). On the side I love to cosplay as my favorite characters and I enjoy making different types of drinks! signature lattes, specialty flavored sodas/teas and as of recently I have been exploring the art of traditional matcha lattes.
